Personal Development

At Kingswood Parks Primary School, personal development is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that supporting children’s individual growth is just as vital as academic achievement, which is why we have created a comprehensive personal development curriculum. This curriculum covers a range of essential areas, including British Values, global awareness, economic understanding, and cultural capital. Our aim is to equip children not only with the knowledge they need but also with the social and emotional skills that will help them succeed in both their current and future lives.

To ensure this development is engaging and meaningful, we draw on a variety of high-quality resources and experiences. Our programme includes:

  • British Values: Democracy, tolerance, and respect.
  • Global Awareness: Understanding diverse perspectives.
  • Economic Understanding: Making informed decisions and managing resources.
  • Cultural Capital: Exposure to rich and varied cultural experiences.
  • Resources and Partnerships: Picture News, Young Citizens, Jigsaw, Money Heroes.
  • Extracurricular Opportunities: Clubs, guest speakers, and educational trips.

These elements work together to provide a well-rounded, engaging, and exciting learning journey for our pupils, helping them develop key personal attributes and fostering a lifelong passion for learning.
